Monitoring how much hard disk space is being used on a single computer can be a daunting task.
Now imagine if you needed to monitor the amount of hard disk space is being used on 5 computers. What if different users on your network had a Shared storage area on your file server, each user had a Personal Backup area and Private storage area. How would you make sure users are not using more space than you havea llocated? What if you wanted to combine this with monitoring the size of your Corporate Database backup area..........the list goes on.
FolderDog allows you to monitor all of these situation and any other, you desire, all in one simple interface.
Email Alerts can be set as Warnings and Limits. If each user on your network has 10Gb Backup storage , you may want to warn them when using 9Gb and then limit them to 10Gb......Best of all FolderDog will not stop a user from exceeding the limits..Warnings are sent, Admin is notified but no data will go lost.
